About this blog
This is the blog of masseuse.ai, an electro-massage guided by your phone’s camera. It watches posture, breathing and the small brace before a flinch, and adjusts the way a good therapist would: attention first, pressure second.
What we write about
Massage therapy as the profession actually teaches it. The strokes and what each one is for, why moderate pressure does more than deep pressure, where hands go lightly and current never goes, and how a body signals that it has had enough. Most posts belong to a series meant to be read in order:
Where it comes from
The backbone is the standard textbook of the field, Susan G. Salvo’s Massage Therapy: Principles and Practice (7th edition, Elsevier, 2024), read alongside the research it cites, in particular Tiffany Field’s studies of moderate-pressure massage. Where a post makes a claim about the body, that is where the claim comes from. Where it describes what masseuse.ai does, that comes from building it.
Who writes it
The masseuse.ai team. Posts with a named author say so in the byline; the rest are written together and published under the masseuse.ai name. Nothing is generated and posted unread.
What it is not
masseuse.ai writes about wellness, not medicine. Nothing here diagnoses or treats a condition. If you have a health concern, talk to a clinician who can examine you.
